If you want enemy strategies or tips on how to defeat bosses, please refer to a complete guide. It’s a guideline centered on casters only, destined to make you as strong as possible, as soon as possible. I will not guide you in detail through every area, as this isn’t a full walkthrough. The first one is easy to achieve, the second one not that far from the first, but the last milestone will take a lot of time and dedication. You can stop following this guide at any of those milestones. I will mention 3 important milestones where you will have respectively achieved True Mage, Archmage and Battlemage status. Lastly, I will tell you where to allocate your points along the way to create the strongest build. I will also mention which boss souls can be traded for the strongest weapons and how to best infuse them. I will mention every item of interest and tell you where to get them, including all the best spells, rings, armor sets and weapons for each type of caster.
I will tell you the order in which you should explore all of the different areas so you can get the best gear as soon as it becomes available to you. I will nevertheless point out everything of interest to Pyromancers and Clerics.
This guide will focus on how to best create your caster, with a primary focus on Sorcerers and Hexers. Sorcerers (and Hexers, Clerics and Pyromancers) are extremely fun to play and can deal with any situation as long as their survivability is high enough and they carry a strong melee weapon. That being said, a few endgame sorceries, hexes, pyros and miracles are still very strong, and a lot of enemies and bosses are weak to casting. Sorceries aren’t as strong as they used to be, casting time has been reduced, number of casts have decreased, and the DMG and STA reduction of a lot of spells have been nerfed as well. I have decided to make a guide to help people who are new to the game and want to start as a caster, and especially a Sorcerer, or those of you who have already ran through the game and want to know how to build one.
